MugglePay wins grants from Celo and will enable Asian merchants to accept Celo

Recently, MugglePay wins hundreds of thousands of dollars in funding from the Celo Foundation. Muggle will enable Asian merchants to accept Celo and cUSD, thereby making cross-border payments in Asia lower-cost and settle instantly. There are now more than 3,200 merchants on the MugglePay platform and plans to reach 6,000 by the end of this year.

Celo is an open platform that makes financial tools accessible to anyone with a mobile phone and its mission is to build a financial system that creates conditions for prosperity for all. Unlike Libra’s private blockchain solution, Celo alliance is open and decentralized.

MugglePay shares the same mission as Celo. We hope to build an open payment system that makes sending and receiving money as easy as sending messages, as long as the user has a mobile phone and does not need a bank account. There are several payment items in the Celo ecosystem that help C-end users store and send cUSD, while MugglePay hopes to help merchants to simply accept Celo and cUSD. • No need for technical docking and development, just settings to integrate your site with MugglePay SDK;
• Choose to accept Celo in the MugglePay settings options.

MugglePay will provide merchants with a peer-to-peer settlement solution, and users’ payments will be settled to the merchant’s Celo address or exchange account instantly. The traditional payment service provider accepts money into its own account and the merchant needs to withdraw funds. The Finance 3.0 solution provided by MugglePay completely eliminates the financial risk of merchants.
